When in doubt wear stripes!

When in doubt wear stripes!
Stripes are classy, easy to wear and you can find clothes with stripes at most stores.
If you buy a piece of clothing with stripes it's not likely to go out of style.
I have been wearing stripes since I was 12 and it is still in style!

Wherever I don't know what to wear, I find myself grabbing this striped top I'm wearing in the pictures below. This top has been with me for two years and I still wear it. I usually don't wear a hat with it, but for some reason I was inspired by the Gondola in Venice. I wish that wearing this outfit would magically transport me to Venice, where I could sit on a bench overlooking the river and eating pasta. Hopefully one day this wish will come true? Maybe even share a Gondola ride with a loved one?

What I am wearing: Black pants from H&M, Striped top from F21, Hat from Zara, Pearl earrings (that was a birthday gift when I turned 18). Lastly my shoes are from Aldo.

What is your favorite striped item that you own?

Hope you have a great Thursday !

One Dress - Everyday Casual

I am wearing the same dress as yesterday. This time I decided to change my jacket into a khaki  jacket from H&M. The jacket is loose so it gives a relaxed look.
I added a blue necklace to give the outfit some color.
I think this look works for an everyday situation.

Also when I first bought this jacket it had fake jewels on the pockets. I cut them off because it was too much glitter for my taste. There are always ways you can be creative and change an item.
If you don't like something think of a way to fix it. If you buy a white dress but get tired of the color, try to dye it a different color, or cut it into a t-shirt. Be creative.

What I am wearing: Dress Banana Republic, Shoes Aldo, Necklace a gift, Jacket H&M

What style are you?

Hope you have a good Thursday!

One Dress - Cute Look

I decided to use one dress for the next three blog posts, but style it differently.
I wanted to do this to show that you don't need all the clothes in the world to dress nicely.
You can mix and match with different accessories to create different looks.
This dress is basic so it is easily transformed with different jackets, shoes and necklaces.
Sometimes having basic items in your wardrobe is important, because it allows you to create more looks.

For the first look I decided to put a sheer black blouse over the dress for a classy look. I added a silver bracelet and tiny ear rings to keep the look clean. I also added my "fancy" purse to add to the classy and simple look.

What I am wearing : Dress from Banana Republic. Banana Republic is a good place to get staple pieces for your closet. This dress was originally $190, then it was on sale for $90, then it was half price of sales so I got it for $45 (a good deal in my eyes). My blouse is from Only. My shoes are from Aldo again on sale for $15.

- What is your best bargain piece?

I hope you have a great day!

The Trench

I recently invested in a trench coat. The reason I say invest is because they are a bit more expensive, but on the plus side they have a classic shape that never seem to go out of style. I got mine at Gap.

The nice thing about a trench coat is that it dresses up whatever you wear. A trench coat is perfect to pair with jeans and a sweater, a dress or a skirt under.
This day I went for a grey skirt and a black top, because it was pretty warm out.

What I am wearing: Grey skirt from F21, black top from H&M, trench from Gap, and my favorite shoes from Ronsons. I wear these shoes a lot because they are comfy, and they are perfect for the nice weather.

What are your favorite style when wearing a trench coat?

Hope you have a stylish and happy weekend!
