Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream

Since the weather has been nice and it is Summer, I decided to make Matcha Ice Cream.
It is pretty easy to make.
This ice cream is not only yummy but it is healthy!
Matcha is packed with antioxidants, and boost your metabolism to help burn calories. It is rich in fiber and provides your body with vitamin C and Zinc.

How to make Green Tea Ice Cream :

  •  Matcha powder ( 1 1/2 to 3 teaspoons depending on how strong you like it. If you make it too strong, you can add more milk in later )

  •  Vanilla almond milk / or Vanilla Soy milk ( 2 cups )

  • Shredded coconut ( half a cup )

  • Maple syrup or Agave ( a few tablespoons, depends how sweet you want the ice cream)

  • Pistachio nuts ( that you crush so you can sprinkle it on top of the ice cream later)

1.  Add all the ingredients except the nuts in a blender, or mix by hand.

2.  Pour the ingredients into a container you can freeze. Put the container in the freezer.

3.  Take out from the freezer every 40 min to stir - so that the ice cream will become thick.

4. When it looks like ice cream it is ready to serve. Add whatever toppings you like.
Pistachio nuts taste amazing just saying :)

How the mixture looks like before you freeze it. It will become thicker for every hour you take it out, and stir it!
How the ice cream looks when it is ready to be eaten :) I topped it with nuts.

What's your favorite way to cool down in the Summer?

Have a good Wednesday !
